1. Scope

This notice explains cookies and other storage/access technologies used on gdev.agency. It should be read with the Privacy Notice.

Cookies are only one type of technology covered by electronic-communications rules. Similar technologies can include local storage, pixels, tags, scripts, device fingerprinting and link decoration.

2. Categories

Strictly necessary, communications and security technologies

These may be used to deliver requested pages, distribute traffic, maintain security, prevent abuse, protect forms, remember privacy choices and provide user-requested functionality.

Where a legal exception applies, consent is not required, but clear information must still be provided.

Potential providers include Cloudflare and Cloudflare Turnstile.

Statistical or analytics technologies

Gdev may use limited analytics to understand general Website use and performance.

The exact legal treatment depends on the technology and purpose. Under the amended PECR framework, certain statistical technologies may qualify for an exception if all applicable conditions are satisfied, including appropriate safeguards and a simple way to object. Non-exempt analytics must not operate before valid consent.

Third-party embedded content

Maps, videos, calendars, meeting tools, social content and other embeds can permit third parties to store or access information on a device. Where consent is required, the embed should remain blocked until consent is given. An ordinary external link should be preferred where practical.

Advertising

Gdev does not currently use cross-site behavioural advertising. This notice and the consent mechanism must be updated before advertising or profiling technology is introduced.

3. Consent and objections

Where consent is required:

• non-essential technology will not run before consent;
• accept and reject choices will be presented fairly;
• categories will not be preselected;
• consent will require a positive action;
• continued browsing will not count as consent;
• a record of the choice may be stored; and
• withdrawal will be as easy as giving consent.

Where Gdev relies on a statutory exception requiring a simple means to object, the Website will provide that mechanism.

4. Browser controls

Users may also control cookies in their browser, but blocking all cookies can affect security or functionality. Deleting a cookie does not reverse processing that lawfully occurred before deletion.
